Eight volunteers collected 48 bags of trash at today’s Tamagawa River clean up event just across the river from Haneda airport. It was a healthy turnout today working on a dirty area, so a lot of trash was collected. Unlike the Arakawa, at least 10-15% of our time was spent moving the bags up the embankment and almost 500 meters to a public road for collection by Kawasaki City, and no large items were put out as the river management office is not picking up large items, so bag counts are a bit lower on the Tamagawa, but still a lot of trash collected today. The weather was awesome and the scenery was beautiful, a great day to be on the river. I was able to capture a plane taking off in the group photo. They were roaring over us all afternoon. Mina-san, otsukaresama!
