Our final clean up event on the Tamagawa was held today at Daishibashi. Seven ecowarriors collected 66 bags of trash (46 actual bags + roughly equivalent of 20 bags on the large unbagged items). The weather was great, not too cold, and it was quite an international turnout. There were 2 Japanese and one person each from America, Canada, France, Italy and Malaysia. We started a new stretch of river that will need a lot of work. We’ll probably have to hit this area about 10-15 times before all the trash is removed, but today was a good start. Then, driving into Tokyo is always a good excuse to stop by my favorite Indian restaurant, Tikka House, on the way back.
