Arakawa River clean up (Minami-Sunamachi)

SCHEDULE
Gather at MINAMI SUNAMACHI Station (Exit 5): 10:00
Gather riverside 10:30
Finishing up: 14:30

RIVER CLEAN UP
Gather at MINAMI SUNAMACHI Station (Tozai Line) outside the ticket gate for Exit 5, and then go to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along the banks for about about 3 5 to 4 hours with a break in the middle

WHAT TO BRING
Wear old clothing that you do not mind getting dirty, and please wear long pants. Bare legs are not recommended because they can easily get cut from objects like cut river reeds. Also, a hat is recommended, especially during the summer months, and please bring lots of liquids to drink. Bringing gloves is also recommended but we usually have some extra pairs available to loan out.

ADDITIONAL INFO:
If you come late, it will be about a 20 min. walk to our location at the water line near the Tozai Line bridge. Just follow the Tozai Line to the river and look for us at the water line. Call my cell phone 090-1847-5075 if there are any problems finding us.

RAIN:
In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled. Please bring rain gear and we will take shelter (under a bridge) until any downpours let up. In the event of heavy rain/strong winds (e.g., typhoon conditions) or lightning then the event will be cancelled (and usually moved to a different day).
