Arakawa River Clean Up today at Funabori. Only two ecowarriors braved the rain forecast to collect 16 bags of trash. Actually the weather completely cleared up by the time we got started after 1:30pm. There was a lot of smaller items to collect so the bag count was not so high, but we were able to remove most of the trash for a 150-strip on the backside of the Nakade. Hopefully with more people next week (and good weather) we’ll be able to finish the original target of cleaning to the next bridge. There is actually a lot of trash in that area because people tend to gather there and watch the boat races, and where you have people you have trash.
