Three volunteers (all TRF veterans) collected 10 bags of trash at today’s Arakawa River clean up event next to the Tozai Line train bridge on the Tokyo Bay side. The heat seemed to keep people way today, and it also limited collection time, including an early finish. As TRF removed large volumes of trash from this area last year, it wasn’t that dirty and we were making the first cut into this side of the pod section, so it really was an impressive result for a small group with limited area and limited time. A lot of progress was made on the grass cutting, including opening a brdigehead and cutting a trail almost all the way through the pod section (see the photos at the end where you can also see how the tide came in and covered most of the area as we were finishing).
