Nine volunteers turned out for today’s Edogawa River clean up and collected 30 bags of trash. There was a little trash from the typhoon about 6 weeks ago, but it was mostly collecting residual trash from past clean up. With the slim pickings, 30 bags was quite a good haul. I was a bit surprised to see so little trash from the recent typhoon, and my theory for this is that all the cleaning of this area over the past 5 years has left little trash on the shorelines to be picked up by the storm surge and scattered around.
