Fourteen volunteers collected 118 bags of trash at today’s Arakawa River clean up at Nishi Kasai. It was our second “power event” (exceeding 100 bags) in a row. People were coming and going all day but we ended up with a large group who were dedicated to removing a large amount of trash that was uncovered after cutting the grass. It was a nice mix of 9 regulars and 5 newcomers, and people came from many different countries, 5 Japanese, 2 Americans, 2 Germans, 2 Sri Lankans, 1 Columbian, 1 Frenchwoman, and 1 Malaysian. The weather was beautiful, and everyone made a great effort. Thank you all!
