Sixteen volunteers collected 32 bags of trash at today’s Arakawa River clean up near Nishi Kasai. Broken down that was 22 actual bags plus roughly equivalent of 10 bags on the large items. In addition to perfect weather for cleaning, it was a nice mix of veterans and new members, including a group of 7 or 8 students. The area was not super dirty, so I was only expecting about half this much collection today, but the teens and other participants really made a great effort, including removing two large plastic barrels using group teen power. TRF had been unable to pull out of the mud last year. Mina-san otsukaresama!
