Five volunteers collected 22 bags of trash at today’s Arakawa River clean up event next to the Tozai Line Bridge near Nishi Kasai. Once again it was great weather, but turn out was low. The 3-day weekend may have been the cause. The area was not super dirty but rather had scattered trash, so participants really worked hard to fill bags and even went a little over time. We also made a lot of progress with the grass cutting and after 3 events at this corner in fall 2024, we have basically gotten it clean and are positioned to move down section further.
