Eleven volunteers collected 82 bags of trash at today’s Arakawa River clean up event near Nishi Kasai. It was the first “cold” day of the year for clean ups. (Cold is better than hot.) A lot of grass cutting had been done but the area was not super dirty ‘(only so-so dirty), so participants had to really work to fill bags. The goal for today was 78 or more bags and people were busy almost until dark. In surpassing the goal, TRF achieved a 400+ bag total (404) for the 7 days from Sunday to Saturday with 4 events on Sun., Mon., Tue. and Sat. Thank you so much to every one for the great effort today and reaching the target of a 400-bag total for the week.
