The final Golden Week clean up on the Arakawa was today at Funabori. Four eco-warriors turned out to collect 61 bags of trash. With a free schedule, once again people were coming and going with the first arrival at 9:00a.m. and the last two people leaving at 5:30pm. Everyone came by bicycle. There was an exceptionally low tide about 1:00pm. A bird of prey, which I think was a golden eagle, came by to watch almost as if to say thank you. There is so much trash out there. We really need 50 people doing this every week, but hopefully the Corona measures will pass before too long and we can get back to groups of 15-20 people, with which we started the year off so well.
