On Sunday TRF hosted a group of 54 people from the American School of Dammam in Saudi Arabia for an Arakawa River clean up event near Funabori. Forty-eight students and six adults were visiting Japan for a few weeks on a school trip. We cleaned the back side of the island, which was not super dirty but still considerable trash that was spread out. Utilizing the large number of students we were able to clean a large area and the trash volume added up. Upon completion, the 3 TRF members who came out went to the Dirty Angle for a Part II session and added a few more bags to the total. Even though we had cleaned the Dirty Angle just a week ago, it was amazing how much trash had flowed into it over just 7 days. I got quite busy working with the students and did not have a chance to take many photos. Special thanks to Tomomi-san and Adrian-san for coming out to help with the students and the second effort at the Dirty Angle.
