Seven volunteers collected 41 bags of trash (33 actual bags plus equivalent of 8 bags on the large items) at today’s Arakawa River clean up event next to the Tozai Line bridge near Nish Kasai. While about average cold for February and not bad with sunshine a very strong wind blowing from the north made it uncomfortable. So, special thanks to today’s participants for braving that cold/wind A great effort was made to collect a lot of trash. I’m glad we could make up the weather cancellation event last week with today using the national holiday. I did not take so many photos today. A white bird came at the end and was very interested in the areas where we had stomped around in the mud. I think some worms may have been exposed in deep boot imprints in the mud and the bird wanted to eat them.
