Another big day on the Arakawa yesterday with 62 volunteers (record high) collecting 87 bags of trash at Funabori. Most of the participants were from the French international school in Tokyo. It was their third time to join a TRF event and great to see so many young people experiencing the marine trash problem firsthand and hopefully becoming motivated for continued action on the problem in the future. The weather was beautiful, the tide was low. We couldn’t have asked for a better outing and outcome.
