Thirty-two volunteers turned out for today’s Arakawa River clean up event and collected 62 bags of trash. About half of the participants were from a French school, Lycée Français International de Tokyo, so there were many kids. Three of our regulars cut grass in morning and were quite exhausted from that, which limited our contributions, but the kids picked up the slack. There is still a lot of work to do in that location but we are making progress. Oddly the typhoon from two days ago had not created much trash as it was a glancing and not a direct hit.
