Ten eco-warriors turned out for today’s Edogawa River Clean Up, and we collected 50 bags of trash (43 actual bags + roughly equivalent of 7 bags on the large unbagged items). Once again the free schedule was a hit. People were coming and going all day with a morning group and an afternoon group, including two morning people who returned to help at the end. Everyone came by bicycle as well. At the end I added a chart of our results in 2020 on the Edogawa, which through May are 291 bags of trash collected during 5 events with participation by 68 people in total. The last photo is of a few bags that had been collected during Golden Week under the bridge. Now that the area has been thoroughly cleaned a lot of people are beginning to pinic/barbecue there, and some of them are just dumping their trash expecting that someone will come and clean it up, Arrrhg!
