Seventeen ecowarriors turned out for yesterday’s Edogawa river clean up event at Barakinakayama. The area was only moderately dirty but with the large number of people we were able to collect 64 bags of trash (49 actual bags + roughly equivalent of 15 bags of large items). Broken down that was 41 bags of burnable trash, 4 bags of unburnable items, 2 bags of cans, and 2 bags of glass bottles). The weather was beautiful and it was a good opportunity to meet many new people. About half the participants were new, including three junior high school students who were participating as part of a school assignment. Four people went to dinner for the best Indian food in Tokyo at nearby Tikka House
