Fourteen volunteers collected 41 bags of trash at yesterday’s Arakawa River clean up at Nishi Kasai. We made a fresh cut into the 4th section of pods near the Kasaibashi Bridge. The area wasn’t covered in trash but there a lot of scattered trash, so participants had to work at it, obstructed by high grass, to fill bags. A 40% chance rain turned out to be no rain and a beautiful day. We were also fortunate to have a low tide. In the last photos you can see how the tide came in and covered the work area. A great effort by many people resulted in another large volume of trash removed from the banks of the Arakawa near Tokyo Bay. Minasan otsukaresama!
