Four volunteers turned out for today’s Edogawa River Clean Up at Myoden and collected 56 bags of trash. In spite of the rain, we were able to use the bay front bridges for cover from the rain. This area was the actual interface between the river and Tokyo Bay. The volume was much more than normal for the Edogawa but most of it came from two homeless guys living under those bridges who freely litter and had created quite a mess. It’s a bit of a mystery why the authorities have ignored these littering crimes for years on end but they do. Anyway, we collected the trash as we’ve been doing at this location for 5 years now.
