Today’s Arakawa River clean up event was led by Kiyoko Tanaka. Including the sodai gomi it was a 26-bag event. Participants were able to give the notorious dirty angle a much needed cleaning. I’m quoting her recap below.

Weekend eco-warrior act @ Funabori: I lead today’s event, worked with 7 other volunteers, collected 22+ bags and some of oversized garbage. It had been a great weather but unexpectedly hot, so we decided to finish up earlier to avoid getting a heat stroke. I ran my battery out soon because of an extra task of coming to the Funabori station to meet up.
